ROLE OVERVIEW

To assist in ensuring the availability of required logistics to guarantee uninterrupted flow of work.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive goods purchased into the store: conduct quality control checks prior to receiving goods; in liaison with the Procurement Unit, confirm that goods received correspond to the specifications on LPOs and other user Directorates/Divisions.
  • Monitor stock levels and issue Store Purchase Requisition (SPR) when stock levels are low.
  • Maintain records of goods in the store: via Ecolink MM
  • Ensure appropriate storage of stocks to optimise inventory, retrieval and life-span;
  • Issue stock items to users on approval in accordance with laid down stores procedure.
  • Generate periodic reports of stock situation to avoid stock-outs.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

Education:

  • Brevet de Technicien Superieur (BTS)/OND/HND or equivalent in related field from a university of recognized standing;

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in administration, including experience in the area of archives, electronic record management or related area is required.

 

AGE LIMIT

  • Be below 50 years old. This provision does not apply to internal candidates.
