ROLE OVERVIEW 

To assist in the enforcement of Judgments and Rulings of the Court in line with the provisions of the Revised Treaty and other legal text of the Community.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collating and storing information on Judgements, and parties involved in Cases and also contact information of all parties.
  • Taking note of Write of Execution.
  • Identifying the focal point of each Member State involved in each case and how other enforcement agencies can follow up on the judgements passed by the Court.
  • Also to assist in the coordination with the different competent National authorities of Member States in processing Write of Execution issues by the Chief Registrar.
  • Ensuring and following up on the all judgements passed by the Court by keeping in constant contact with both parties involved and collating their insights after Judgements have been passed.
  • Keeping in contact with Member State on their Reactions and Actions towards Judgments and enforcements of Judgements passed by the Court.
  • Keeping accurate records and information of Judgements passed and executed by the Court.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

       Education:      

  • A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Law, or in Social Sciences or Arts from a recognized university ;
  • Possession of higher Degree in related area would be an added advantage.

      Experience:   

  • Three (3) years relevant professional experience in court of law functioning, including two (2) years relevant International experience.
  • Possession in Court process or Court Registry functioning experience
  • Experience in a variety of private and public institutions preferably in a multi-cultural setting and in an international institution would be an advantage 
  • Knowledge and Information about different Enforcement Agencies in Member States. 

AGE LIMIT:  Be below 50 years old. This provision does not apply to internal candidates

  • Proficiency in information communication technologies (ICT);
  • Fluency in oral and written expressions in one of the ECOWAS official languages of the Community (English, French & Portuguese). Knowledge of an additional one will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to develop, implement an individual action plan for achieving specific work goals;
  • Identify, organize and monitor tasks throughout to facilitate execution;
  • Ability to contribute and/or lead on projects as per accepted project management standards and techniques, to co-ordinate contributions by others to set and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, and work within timelines, giving attention to details, stakeholders, indicators and risks;
  • Ability to identify, collect and assess indicators to monitor performance and to take proactive remedial action as required.
